How should I sterilize my ISORetract™ Mouth Retractor?
All ISORetract™ units must be sterilized using strict steam sterilization protocols. Steam sterilization is the only validated and safest method. Dry heat or other sterilization methods can melt or permanently damage the device and void the ISORetract™ Return and Exchange Policy.
Can I use a dry heat sterilizer?
No. Using a dry heat sterilizer or any method exceeding recommended temperatures can melt or permanently damage the ISORetract™. The ISORetract™ team may reject returns or replacements if the product is damaged due to improper sterilization.
What is the maximum sterilization temperature for ISORetract™?
Validated steam sterilization temperature: 132°C (270°F)
Full cycle time: 4 minutes
Drying time: 30 minutes
These conditions were confirmed for (Steam Sterilization Validation Final Report and meet all sterility assurance requirements (SAL ≤ 10⁻⁶).
How long will ISORetract™ last with repeat use?
ISORetract™ is manufactured from medical grade plastic with high resistance to steam sterilization.
Mechanical and impact properties remain largely stable even after 50 autoclave cycles.
Users can safely reuse ISORetract™ multiple times, provided proper steam sterilization protocols are strictly followed.
Signs of wear, deformation, or discoloration may indicate the end of safe usability.
Are there any special handling notes?
- Avoid contact with open flames, dry heat sterilizers, or temperatures above 132°C.
- Inspect each unit before use. Replace if you notice cracks, warping, or discoloration.
- Steam sterilization validation confirms no moisture retention after drying cycles; ensure pouches and packaging are properly dried before storage.
